Running
July 1, 2024As the weather is getting warmer, if you are like me, you are probably heading out and hitting some of the great hiking trails around the GTA and Southern Ontario.
Some of my favourite spots include Bruce Peninsula Provincial Park, Forks of the Credit Provincial Park, and Mono Cliffs Provincial Park!
Hiking is a great way to get outside and get active, enjoy nature, and spend time with friends and fido, but hiking can also lead to injuries. Sprained ankles, strained muscles, foot and knee pain, back and shoulder pain are all possible injuries from hitting the trails.
That is when it's important to come in and see your favourite Registered Massage Therapist! Your RMT can help with relaxation and muscle recovery. Massage therapy can help reduce stiffness and swelling, improve circulation, and decrease pain caused by the joint and muscle overuse associated with hiking those Provincial Parks.
Make sure you are prepared to hit the trails, pack plenty of sunscreen and bug spray, and never head out alone. After your hike, I can help decrease the muscle spasms, soreness, and help provide muscle recovery with a personalized treatment plan designed to help with whatever concerns you have post-hike or otherwise!
