Motor Vehicle Accident and WSIB Claims

Treatment after a car accident is typically funded through your auto insurer under Ontario’s Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) - we complete OCF forms and bill the insurer directly. Which insurance companies can you bill directly?

We bill many major Canadian insurers through their provider portals, including Sun Life, iA Financial Group and ClaimSecure. Plans and insurers change, so call us at (905) 507-0888 with your insurer's name before your visit and we will confirm whether we can bill your plan.

What do I need to bring for direct billing?

Bring your insurer's name, your policy or group number and your member ID. If the plan is through your spouse or partner, bring their details and date of birth too. We check your coverage and submit the claim after each visit.

Will I still pay anything with direct billing?

Possibly. Direct billing means we submit the claim for you, but your plan decides how much it pays. If your plan covers only part of the visit or you have reached your yearly limit, you pay the remaining balance at the visit.

Does direct billing work for WSIB or car accident claims?

Those work differently. For an approved WSIB claim, WSIB usually pays the clinic directly. After a car accident, treatment is usually funded through your auto insurer, and we complete the treatment forms with you. Coverage depends on your claim and your policy.

I'm covered by my plan and my spouse's plan. What should I bring?

Bring the details for both plans, including your spouse's date of birth and member ID. Many plans coordinate benefits so the second plan can pay part of what the first does not. We will tell you what we can submit directly and give you receipts for anything you need to claim yourself.
